and yet another. I think I might have some from when we ran it at Sears Point in '10 but they don't show the detail under the clothes.

I love photos like this. You could eat off these cars. Stu would probably like some body photos as well if possible.

Awesome pictures. Thanks!
Something about the 1975 Lola T332 that is wrong on the restored car though, The accent stripes should be chrome silver where the restored car has them in gold. The 74 version had gold accent stripes but not the 75 as shown. I investigated this heavily and even got the poop from Parnelli thru Russ. Still a veru nice looking car and a great restoration.

I love it Stu! Great research! Real car owners should consult us modelers before they do their car$. Patrick

Here is a pic with Mario and Al's car. Notice the accent stripe color. Another neat fact is that the 75 car was two toned red split right down the middle. Right side was a bit brighter than the right which was slightly darker. This was to match the Viceroy logo seen on the snokel below. (note Jim Gustafson photo) [img src="http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu127/sbenford/long_beach_9_jg_c.jpg" img] This is the restored car. See the two tone red and incorrect gold stripes? Greetings... Talked to the now former owners wife last night (car has just been sold). Dennis the painter sent her out to get gold tape and what you see is what she was able to find. I seem to recall (its been a while) some discussion about it not being quite right but would do as it was days before LBGP and the car was scheduled to do some demo laps during lunch break on sunday. This was Marios farewell year. Dennis was the painter for the team cars in 74-75. Phyllis also had to get a pack of Viceroys so Dennis could match colors. The colors on the pack are white, two shades of red, and gold. I think the gold should be gold foil, not silver. Hard to tell from the pics as it is definetly foil. Sadly, Dennis has left us-the hazards of spraying without proper breathing protection. TJW

Greetings... Sadly the car has moved on. My friend, who had the car since the early 90's and had the restoration done by the former crew chief and chief mechanic, is not able to drive it for a couple of reasons. He is 6'4" and wears size 13's. We would have to make up a new nose to accomodate him as well as other problems. It has gone to someone who respects what it is and will use it. The new owner bought it sight unseen and when he got it, sent an eMail saying "Lola is here. I'm in love". One of my memories is of 94 and getting the car ready for Mario to drive at the lunch break at the Long Beach Grand Prix and helping him into the car and then seeing his face afterwards as he pulled in after the show. Big silly grin. I'm told it was one of his favorite race cars. TJ

Those cars were so awesome, I still can't figure out why that series didn't do well. We need more kits!!

Here is another picture of Mario sitting by the air scoop. If that accent stripe is gold, I don't see it changing to silver. That's why I had Russ check with Parnelli. I don't want to discount the painter though and there is no reason I can see why they were silver since the cigarette pack is gold. It's just puzzling to me. Below is what Russ wrote to me. "Parnelli said they were silver, Just off phone with him, which is difficult because you run the gaunt Jim Delamater Parnell's General Manger and get Parnell off the golf course. He said silver. Sorry to long to back to you."
Best to you!

Not to harp on this continually but look at the picture below. All the shadows are falling away. In other words the sun is on the other side of the car so there is no reflection off the stripes. [img src="http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu127/sbenford/laguna_seca_148_voc.jpg" img]
