They should throw the gates open $10 a head and fill the place and at least make something on concessions and souvenirs.
Empty seats don't buy anything. That is the BIG mistake IMS makes with practice and quals.

Interesting that you should bring up that idea. There's a dirt track up in the northern part of Wisconsin which has a couple of nights during the season where they have a $1.00 general admission night. This place makes a killing on the resulting concession and souvenier sales. Far more than if they'd charged normal ticket price per head.

Milwaukee will solve the 1.5 oval dilemma. A great track that requires driving the car and big guts (since not everyone in the field has man parts - LOL).
