Can't believe I have not joined here in the past, I look at all the great builds every few weeks. Anyway, against better judgement and thanks to Indycals cranking out some fantastic decals for 90's cars... I may build my first car since High School nearly 20 years ago! I have made ALPS decals and built tons of 1/32 SlotCars here in Indy over the years, but not one static model. I am a 1/43 guy and will attempt to convert some Minichamps, etc. I am 39 so my favorite era is about 1982-1995. Amazing cars and drivers back then. Here is some of my decal work on slot cars (yes, I know inaccurate Dallaras on most of these.) These were to race, not to look at! I probably have 20-30 decal sets for the 1998-2008 era. Now we are able to get enough decals from Patto and Indycals that my ALPS is thankfully in mothballs. Before Scalextric did a Jim Beam car we had 'em in Indy Roadsters!!! I did the McCluskey, Keller and Herk decal set in the back. Having a field of 12-14 guys with detailed Roadster to race is amazing!
