This is my next project. 1961 Hoover Motor Express Epperly in which Bobby Marshman won co-rookie of the year. I reshaped the nose with Milluput and integrated the grill into the master of the body. Few more areas to work and then it will be ready to put in rubber. Thanks for looking. -Rick

This was the next car that was to be released by Carousel One. There were 6 prototypes made and luckally, I have one. Looks great with the chrome head rest.

Ready for release. The 1961 Hoover Motor Express Epperly. Can be built as either the qualification version or the race day version. Used bare metal foil (chrome) on the tail fin and vent ducts. Paint is Tamiya Orange (TS-12) over a dark grey primer. Very pleased with the end result. This is a compete kit. Price is $95 +$5 shipping. I'm offering it to forum members first for the next couple of weeks before I start listing it on ebay. Michael (Indycals) did his usual exemplary job on the decals which are available from him for $7 (www.indycals.net). Send me a personal message if you'd like one. Below is the qualifying day version. Rear quarter view. Race day view. Thanks for viewing, -Rick

Rick, that looks great! I'm in for one. Interesting about the oil tank, I guess you don't need much for qualifying.

Bobby Marshman earned co-rookie of the year honors at the 1961 Indianapolis 500 in this three-year old Hoover Motor Express- Quinn Epperly-built laydown roadster. Marshman did not pick up the ride until the second weekend. He 'bumped' his way into the field and started the race in 33rd position, completing all 200 laps on the way to finishing 7th. This kit is a complete curbside version that can be built as the qualifying version or race day version. Kit will be shipped with an all-color WIP directions. Price is $95 + $5 for shipping. Please send me a PM to place an order. -Rick
