Hi All, and a hearty good afternoon to you, Mongo!
My apologies for not getting around to the introduction sooner.
My name's Mungo Worth, 32, a proud Novocastrian and a long time supporter of American Open Wheel. I modelled a lot in my teenage years but that kind of dwindled as uni, work and an abiding interest in Bass guitars, women and rugby league in no particular order intervened. The interests are still intact, but in the absence of uni and after my discovery of eBay I've returned to the modelling arena.
Currently on my bench are a '98 Surfers Paradise Zanardi Reynard, an '88 Indy John Andretti Lola, a '91 Surfers Paradise Ted Prappas Lola T89 and the Walker Reynard 98I which Max Wilson drove around Bathurst in '07.
I'm heading to Surfers later this year for my honeymoon. I'll miss the turbos, the smell of Methanol and the look of a Champcar, but I'm curious to find out just how the other cars look and sound in person. I gather it's, ah, well, I suppose 'interesting' might be a nice word for it. I'm slowly getting more used to the look of the cars, but it's a stretch...
Forgiving tony george is something I can't see myself doing anytime soon, though, and I'd rate the likes of Penske, Foyt, Barnhart, Heitzler, Fernandez and Andretti the lesser not far behind him. The split appeared to be born out of a spoilt rich boy's tantrum and the way it was conducted and ended (this goes for both sides) may yet bring the whole thing down once and for all. At least it's all in the one place now, and the political BS from both sides will fade with time. No more excuses for anyone, and all of us can get back to being AOW fans together.
Anyhow, I'm stoked to find this website and to make your acquaintance and I look forward to hopefully being able to make a worthwhile contribution in the future.
Cheers,
Mungo.
PS. Sorry Ancientmodeler, not trying to steal your thunder. I usually just can't be arsed trying to think of another forum identity so I just use my name. Hopefully there'll be no confusion!

Nah, no relation. Although I did go through a bit of a Ska phase about 10 years ago and sported a mighty set of muttonchop sideburns! Does that count?
Cheers,
Mungo.
