Hey from Tacoma Washington. I see a few familiar names here on this board. I enjoy open and closed Wheel(fender'd) race cars. Both Asphalt and Dirt. Grew up on the Dirt. This looks like it's a good place to do some short track(or Big Track) Race car building. Currently I'm build a 1/43-- 36 ford Modified race team( flat bed Dullie with tandem trailer). As soon as I figure out what section I can post it in...I'll post some pics of the progress.

For those that have never been to the Northwest. Its the coast line of the NW that does all of the non stop raining. The rest of the NW is just normal. Actually a good part of Washington is desert, and has less than 8 inches of yearly rain fall, which is the same as Phoenix, AZ.

Thank you folks for the Hearty WELCOME...Looking forward to seeing a lot of your builds here. I saw Slim Louis posted his FIRST SPRINT CAR BUILD. He did a great job on that one.

Where are you located in this GREEN state chaparral? On this side or the other. I like both sides of the mountains but....If the work was a little more plentiful over there...I'd move in a heart beat. I lived in Wenatchee for about 2 yrs. I'm a musician and we where at Murphy's Steak House for about 1 1/2 yrs. It's no longer there now. Tore it down and I think there's a Gas station of some sort there...go figure huh?

But yeah, the midget is on here somewhere. Just talked to John yesterday, and he's doing well. Building like crazy. All his stuff is up at MCM and it's amazing, as usual. Looking forward to seeing your builds. The little modified looks good already! -Art

Hi Gary, welcome from the fens of East Anglia.... Huh? Well, it's the best I can do as we only seem to have shires in the UK. Come to think of it, most of the states you guys mention could swallow the entire UK ! Your current wip looks good. I just did the Revell midget and trailer being towed by a rather smart '55 Chevy P/U. Very enjoyable and it picked up 1st place at a recent show. All the best, Steve.

I've been meaning to get to the Mt. Vernon show, but I always make the IPMS show in April. That's in Renton - a shorter trip for you.

I've been trying to get to the one in RENTON for the last 2yrs. It's almost as close as the MODEL CAR SUNDAY the first weekend each May. I've missed the last 2yrs on that show too.I might be able to get both in next yr.
