Hi all, I have just gotten a jorgensen 1992 Indy Winner. It is little Al's ride. I plan on using the AMT Pennzoil Z7 as a donor. Is this a good choice for this build? It seems to have the correct wheels and tires. Does anyone have a spare set of decals left over from the monogram kit that they could part with? Any suggestions for this build will be greatly appreciated. Wrencher

Those monogram kits are 1/24 scale I believe........... The paint can be done with good masking, and vinyl tape (as I have gone that route) but the Monogram kits are larger than Bill's kits, due to they being out of scale. Fred Cady did a decal sheet for this car I believe. We should all wait for the correct answer from you know who! ;D Ziggy, Cady did do a 1992 Valvoline set (serial number 559). if you want to see a list of Cady decals try this link --> www.modelempireusa.com/Model Empire lists this decal sheet in its on-line (PDF) catalog. I am not sure, if this means that it is in stock, but they may have it there. AND ... Yes, the Monogram kit is a 1:24 scale version of the 1988 March, The Cady Sheet is a 1:25 scale version for the 1992 car. The scales are close, and I've wondered if the difference would be noticeable if you transplanted the 1:24 scale decals onto a 1:25 kit. The AMT version of the 88 Lola and March are superior to the Monogram versions of the same cars. I have done a few of the AMT cars already and would like to stay in the same scale (1:25). I was going to try fitting the Raynor and MAC Tools decals from the Monogram kits onto a 1:25 scale AMT Lola. Anyone try this before? Is it a bad idea? RussD

I just picked up a set of the Cady #559 for Jordan today. I didn't see another set at the store I got this set at so I got what was available. If I wasn't doing this as a favor, I would keep the set for myself. It looks like a nice set and the colors seem to match the real thing.

Sounds good. If by some chance Cady can't get you a set, this one is still yours.

That one pictured is mine. Here's another one: If I remember right I used the Monogram decals for the stripes and Cady for everything else. I used a AMT Lola for the Wheels and suspension. I carved the wheel covers from a set of the AMT Pennzoil. DrDave
