Hi, first of all, I promise not to upload my entire collection of open wheel race cars over the next few days! This one is quite special for me as I live only a few miles from Bourne where the ERA's and BRM's were built. I also used to work with some ex-BRM engineers when I was doing my apprenticeship in Stamford, they had some wonderful stories! This is the SEF white metal kit and was a joy to build. I added brake lines and drilled the exhausts out, added internal tubing and a bit of seat padding. Other than that it is oob. Regards, Steve.

It's loverly! Is it a particular race/driver combo? Mine will be G. Hill, that is when I again have some time.

The number 6 decals came with the kit, at the time I didn't have any 1's or 7's so was unable to make Graham Hills car. I have seen the P57 with various numbers on so I suppose it makes the model a bit generic. Just missed the chance to get another one of these on ebay. I wanted to do the low exhaust version in red to portray Bianchi's 1965 car. Ah well, another will come up soon I'm sure. Steve.

That looks like an excellent build. The kit seems to be available still from South Eastern Finecast and Grand Prix Models and the current version includes both exhaust options.
Just started reading Doug Nye's 3 volume history of BRM and it's an amazing story. The world of formula one was very different in those days (and more interesting).
