Hi, my name is Steve, I live in Cambridgeshire in the UK, been modelling for about 40 years (built my first Airfix kit at the age of ten) Main interest is motor racing - open wheel and sports prototypes from the 50's to the 70's. I run two classic 1:1 Triumphs as well and also like to build models of classic road cars. Looks like I have found some like minded modellers on this board, looking forward to sharing some of my work (and problems) Regards, Steve.

Welcome Steve,
Please PM me your address so I can send you the Eagle windshield we discussed on Automotive Forums. Your Brabham build is gorgeous! I just picked up a 1:1 Sunbeam Imp with a club racing history to add to my stable.

Hi Trevor, PM sent. The Imp sounds great, does it have some racing goodies? I saw a Stiletto a few weeks ago with a turbo 3.5 V8 in the front. This was a drag car though and extensively modified! I really wanted to drive it. Steve.

Hi Sandy, my Triumphs are of the 4 wheel variety (sorry) I have a '72 GT6 Mk3 which is in A1+ condition and for daily use I have a '72 Spitfire which has been heavily modified, uprated brakes and suspension, GT6 engine modified to take it out to 2.5 litres and mated to a Ford 5 speed tranny from a Sierra XR4i. I will post some pics in the 'general' forum soon. It would be nice to have a look at any interesting 1:1's other members own. Family car is an Alfa Romeo Mito, my wife uses that mostly but it is a fun car and the "dynamic" button makes it a real hoot to drive. I do like bikes as too, especially classics and would love to see yours as well. Regards, Steve.

Trevor, You're my kind of sick puppy...an Imp! Frazer Imps were devilishly fast in Britannia.

Really nice cars, I had a Spitfire many, many years ago during my largely misspent youth. It was great fun to drive. The '72's mods sound really you've put some serious work in it. Post some photos, I'd like to see them. I'll post one of my little Tri as soon as I remember which things on this stupid computer to click. Some of the guys on our 'brother' board "Indy Car Modeling" posted some very nice bikes recently. But dang it, I couldn't find them- help me out here guys... Maybe we can start a 'Members Rides' thread. BTW, thats a beautiful build on your BRM! Sandy
