Hi there,
Stumbled across this board while doing a google search on plastic f1 models.
I grew up watching F1 with my dad and fell out of it after the late 90's. I've always kept half an eye on it but never too closely. When the Senna documentary came to my local theater I was compelled to check it out based on my enjoyment of watching him as a kid. It basically re kindled my interest in F1. I was looking at some of the kits listed on ebay one day and it piqued my interest. I thought it would be a fun hobby to be involved with. I took a trip to a local hobby shop and they just happened to have one kit in stock. The Tamiya 1/20 Team Lotus Type 78 1977. I bought it and began work on it right away. I'm still in the process of building it. it's taken me many hours and it doesn't come close to the quality of the work showcased on this site but it's been a lot of fun.

Welcome Most of us build for our own enjoyment. You are the only judge that counts. Nobody builds a show winner the first time out, or in most cases the 50th time. Take Care Craig

Welcome, after some 50 years of model cars and building many award winning models I can honestly say I learn something new with every build. Now I learned the most important thing "Build for yourself, and You may surprise Yourself with evrey new build" I stopped building to win contests, and after I did I noticed I was building better models!! Enjoy the Hobby!!!! Chris

Welcome to another F1 fan. Like Chris said this is a great place to learn with every model you build.
