Not meaning to hi-jack this thread, but I notice that this was a Clear-View kit and you chose to build it as a Non-Clear View. I have a few Clear-View kits that I haven't started yet. I'm wondering if anyone out there has actually built a Clear-View and what kind of hassles are involved.

I dont see them having any hassles because the only thing that is keeping this kit from being clear is the Rosso Corsa over it.

Lordy that is a sweet looking car and thanking him that I got to see Gilles race it at Long Beach GP/West. M-m-m-m-m-m-m, one day I'll have to get the 1/24 Protar model again.

Patrick, I think our paths have crossed many times in the past. Forget Christmas, the F1 LBGP was always my most anticipated event of the year. I remember wondering how that rear wing could be an improvement and was not surprised when it was disqualified.
I can say I've seen Fangio (LBGP Historic), Clark, Stewart, Villeneuve and Senna race, along with many other greats. Pretty proud of that list.

And Calvin, I think it goes without saying: absolutely beautiful. I picked one up at a model swap meet and hope it only takes me twice as long to build it and it turns out half as nice as yours.

Great build! Gilles was amazing! Single minded and focussed to a fault. How did you paint the brake ducts?

How did you paint the brake ducts? With some "bad" enamel "house paint", which took about 2 days just to dry.

Very nice Gilles' ride :-) . Actually I had a Gap between the Hood and the Sidepod Panels when building mine, but It was the first Release with red colored Hood.
