For the first time yesterday I used Alclad Chrome. What great stuff! It works great! Best looking chrome paint I've used.

This looks great, the wheels look awesome, I am assuming this is a tamiya '93 Lola?

This looks great, the wheels look awesome, I am assuming this is a tamiya '93 Lola? Yes 1/20 snap together Tamiya, IMO the nicest (when it comes to fit and finish) Indycar plastic kit. Even-though its a snap kit I still will glue most of it. The wheels look better in real life, I wasn't able to capture that same look from the picture. I just cant believe I didn't try Alclad sooner? So much better than the Testors chrome that I went around with for many years and plus this Alclad is strong - it doesn't scratch as easily. For now on I'll prolly use Alclad on my chassis/tubs from now on.

what paint did you use for the red on the car? is it tamiya TS-8 ? I bought both the duracell and kmart/havoline kits in '93 or 94, a loong time ago, I have been wanting to do the first 2 or 3 rows of the '93 500 for sometime now, I just cannot decide whether to go diescast or plastic. Plastic is certainly cheaper thats for sure. Do you have any more WIP pics of this build? And Michael / Indycals, any chance of a 1993 Danny Sullivan decal sheet

what paint did you use for the red on the car? is it tamiya TS-8 ? Yep, all Tamiya I'd go with plastic as this kit is so damn easy to build. Nope, besides not showing the under tray. I started on this Saturday all I've done to this is the body work......I prolly wont get around to the rest of the car for a while.

Looks great...i did like this car. Nothing wrong with the old snap kits from Tamiya, the only thing i hate is having to fill the holes in the floor as that is not a good look when turned over.

Are you adding any carbon fiber or photo etched pieces to this model? You've inspired me to start working on a plastic model for the first time in a long time. I just bought a '93 speedway lola off of ebay. I think I am going to do Luyendyks car.
Wish the galles cars from 93 and their decals were available.
cheers

Spray or bottle? I would be afraid to do a lacquer over an acrylic.

It took me a few looks over your pics to notice it, you've inspired me to make my own Luyendyk Lola, I was gonna hold off and do something different, but your final finished pics have made my mind up! thx
