Is this one still for sale? If yes, do you ship to Belgium. Let me know.
Best regards, Lesley

I had to look this one up. Didn't know this car had been done in 1/20.

To be perfectly honest, it's not a high quality kit ( compared to what you get with Tamiya or Fujimi kits). It was originally designed to have a small electric motor but the motor needs to be purchased separately. Needless to say, engine detail is very poor and the under tray is not accurate. Decals do not represent any markings seen on the car in a race. Fi specialties did offer an upgrade set of decals for this kit a long time ago, but they have been out of print for some time. You can get a fairly decent looking car with a lot of scratch building.

A company called Eloso in Spain makes a proper set of decals for this kit to do Keke Rosbergs Williams.

Wow that's a bunch of surprises!! First, the fact that Michael didn't know that there was a Kawai! Come on Mike, you must have seen it 100 times? ;-) serious you didn't rememeber? That said, that's serendipity: I was surfing thru psost to look out for my username which I didn't rmember, Thanks for reminding me! ;-) and also for quoting me as a great guy! You are too, you know! Nice to be back here. Lot of time without loggin... Nice to see the same old people and same old, plus some new, things. Oh yes, and the decals also allow to do the Laffite version ;-) Cheers to all James PS: oy yes and the car is not too good. But Add to it an FW07 rear axle, a good set of wheels (126 for instance), a Honda engine and the decals, and it'll be a nice '83 FW09. and 25$ is a really good price!

Hi James.
Glad to see you back. As for the Kawai kit, I've had to get some extra parts to do this thing right. I got the Honda engine from a FW11 junker off e-bay along with the front & rear tires. The gearbox from a FW07 junker ( e-bay again ) along with aload of parts from the junk yard. the only parts I need now is a set of front & rear rims from a Fujimi 126c2. So if some one has a set of rims from their 126c2 that they are not going to use because their going to use a set of aftermarket rims, shoot me a PM and let's do a trade or I'll buy out right.

There was a six wheeler FW09... The chassis was converted back and is on the vintage circuit... Tom
