I am working on my first Novi, which is also my first resin model. It's a resin body designed to complete using suspension parts from the Watson Roadster. I have the Indycals for the '57 Bettenhausen Novi AC car waiting.
I think I can make this work. There are some details to work out.
First, from it appears this car had exhaust pipes running down both sides of the car and the body has ports for each side. The Watson kit has one. What would one use to custom build an exhaust pipe. Wire? Second, any ideas on the very prominant Novi gas cap - either build or buy?
Thanks,
Beans

Aluminum tubing should work for the exhaust pipe itself. For the headers you might try aluminum tubing, plastic tubing or solder. Good luck!

Go to Hobby Lobby and buy some Amazing Mold Putty and some Amazing Casting Resin. These are inexpensive and easy to use. I have used them for grills, suspension pieces, wingnuts for wheels, etc. I am just learning and wanted to give it a try after all these years. Not too bad. You can use the existing header to make a mold and then cast as many headers as you want. The same is true for the gas cap. I think the filler cap is similar to others of that era and you can make a mold of that to. Let me know if I can help. Jim

I also picked up a Novi and I'm curious to see how others have fabricated their suspension and exhaust parts. Kevin
