Hello Everyone,
Okay another question from a new guy. Detailing is a little new to me. Okay here we go.
I have read posts about flocking the seats and adding seatbelts. *What is this (flocking)? *What do I need to buy to do this and from where do I buy it? *How do I apply all of that and on what parts of the seat?
Thank you for any help. Don

I hope this may help. There are plenty of sites out there that have supplies. Depending on where you are you may like to deal with someone in the same country etc so just surf around. You could try: www.stradasports.com/I have not bought there but read good things. Flocking is just particles that you can use to represent seat fabric etc, it is best applied by covering what you want flocked with PVA (white) glue as it dries clear. I have found best results are by putting the flocking on by scraping it through a tea strained to make sure it is fine, i have even done a second coat/finish to make sure it looks covered. I hope others can maybe help out here with some tips. Best thing to do is just get into it and have a crack.

Thank you for your help. I have used Strada sports. Flocking sounds real hard. Guess I will enjoy the pictures and leave that detail part to the experts.

Baby Powder.
Just spray some gloss Black - shake some Powder on to stick before the gloss drys - let dry and the spray some flat black or whatever color needed.
After that you have texture that looks like fabric in 1/25 scale.

After your reply Shunter I googled "flocking" and found exactly what you described with visual aid. I am going to try it out! Thanks for the info and support to not give up... I just guess being new to a lot of the things you can do to models nowadays is overwhelming... Don

Now, here is related question . . . . . To flock or not to flock, that is the question.
About when did they go away from leather seat coverings? Early 80's?
I notice some seats look like they are covered with tape. Are all of them like that now?
