A kit of this car was long overdue, much like the Wildcat was. Thanks Calvin for all the hard work. I know where one is going!

Here is what is going to happen:
The price will be $85 free shipping (just like last time) For my first release I'm only going offer 30 kits. Just so I can have time I'm not going to offer anymore 83 Marches until I release the 84 March. After the 84 March is done I'll offer everything all at once 82 Wildcat, 83 March, 84 March.

This is very, very exciting. Well done, Calvin! Now if only we could invent a machine that would give me the time to build all of these fantastic kits everyone is coming out with...
Seriously, though, filling that early '80s void is a noble cause indeed, and I'm definitely in for at least two of these.

Okay, the latest news about this kit. First off that pic above is not going to be the kit for sale. Why? because it sucks, its totally wrong. Days after I finished the parts and the bodies for this 83 March kit, it was deemed "scraped" by my resin car company board, too many things wrong to be sell able so all 50 kits were to be scrapped! So after many hours of lost sleep Im very please to announce that everything is back on track and improved over the old kit by far!!!! The new body is leaps and bounds above what I did have. But here is the catch. I know I've said in the past that I dont like donor kits but to save myself time any money and most of all my mental state. LOL This kit will be a "trans kit", it will require a late 80's 1/25 AMT Lola kit for a donor. Most of the parts will be used from the lola besides a few that I will supply. The reason I went with the 88 Lola is its the best one that I could use for this kit and even though its not 100% accurate its a hell of a lot better than what I originally had for the kit. Besides most people have AMT lolas in reach already and there is tons on ebay for 10 to 12 dollars or even cheaper. So since this turned into a Trans kit the price for this 83 March will be $55 free shipping. I will have Ebay listings and you can PM me on this forum. Paypal or Money orders. I will let you know when my release date is, then you can buy them. But the great thing about this trans kit is what I call a "Plug n' play" all you have to do is build your normal lola drive train and just plug it into the back of the resin kit, no measuring, no guessing, not adjusting, just super glue will do the trick. The ride height is already figured out for you in the rear. The new body is already 10 times better than the first one. and thank you Michael for putting up with my up and down adventure that I've put you though on this kit. ;D

You do know Calvin, that you are probably the only one who would have know what may have been wrong with the first batch. I can't tell from looking at the pics. But a mans got do what a man needs to do. We all appreciate the effort you put into these things. I'm still working on my Wildcat. I wish your pictures from that thread were still on here. Look forward to having the March. I wonder how many versions we might get decals.

You do know Calvin, that you are probably the only one who would have know what may have been wrong with the first batch. After I get this new one done I'll show a comparison and you'll see the difference.....trust me that first pic is deceiving. I know Im sorry I screwed up the Highest view thread in the history of this forum. I still have all the pics but they are just all of the scratch build up...all 300 + pics LOL s689.photobucket.com/albums/vv255/chaparral2k/Indycar/1982%20STP%20Wildcat/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ24 Here after I get the 83 and 84 March out of the way I'm going to re issue the Wildcat and I'll do a instruction doc. on it But right now I'm way too busy to even think about getting one done. But.....if you do a WIP, so that I can see what the current state of your Wildcat is I can unload all of the tricks and info for you. I'll let our decal maker talk about that but it really comes down to how well this kit does. I want to build a few versions of this car so I'm going to try like heck to make this car a good seller.

I hope your quest for perfection doesn't dampen your enthusiasm. It seems that you, Bill, and Lance have all stepped up your game. That leaves us the beneficiaries of your efforts.

Calvin: Now all we need is to find a way to recycle resin back into a pourable solution so all those bodies wouldn't just have to go in the trash... Resin casting is like modeling to me; you notice every tiny little thing that is wrong while everybody else thinks it's great. There must be something about our hobby that makes us all perfectionists... Put me down for at least one; I've wanted to do Sneva's winner for some time. From what I've read, it was his worst month at the Speedway but all came good in the race... Keep up the spectacular work! Tim

If anyone has any AMT Lola's that they want to sell to fellow members, now is the chance because the demand will go up theoretically. I'd recommend posting on this thread just because more eye balls will look at it.
BTW I like the looks of tomorrow night for mold making. (finally!!!!!!!)
