I've noticed at the Indy museum that a lot of the roadsters' tachs have a brass ring around them. I am restoring a 1951 White truck with a similar-looking tach. The ring is a removeable flange that helps hold the tach in the dash. It is a Jones Motrola. No, that's not a typo. The company was located in Stamford, Conn. Is that the brand used in the roadsters? Does anyone know anything about Jones Motrola? Did that company later become Motorola? Thanks.

Hi Jordan, Look back at Hugh's post about *Motrola* (it is missing one *o*). Not Motorola. So I guess by your link, it isn't the same company?? It does, however, look VERY similar to the tachs in the Kurtis and Watson Roadsters, especially. It is built like a M-1 Abrams, and yet has the fine workmanship of the best Swiss watch. Mongo
