Any suggestions of fitting the trans axle end cap (Part #47) to the rest of the rear suspension assembly? (Instruction 2D) The fit on this part is horrible! And since the rear wing supports mount on to this, it's very important to get right. Paul Erlendson

I'd just grind a little off of the back of #25 (transaxle top)

Yes, the Revell transaxle needs a little work Paul, but with a little filing and filling with adding a little bit of detail it can be something half decent. I use the Revell undertrays and transaxle on my Jorgensen resins 93-94 Penskes and 95-96 Reynards. They are a much better fit for those cars than the AMT's. I have an example of the transaxles in my Penske 23 WIP.

I've calmed down since Friday night and looked further. The key it seems to a proper fit so everything is square for the rear wing is the floor. The the lower part of the trans axle end cap fits a contour of the back end of the floor. Place the trans axle assembly minus the end cap onto it's proper place on the floor. Then add the end cap and one can see how it fits in with floor. Tack the end cap onto the trans axle and once dry the whole assembly can be then removed from the floor. There are gaps, but those can then be filled in. Thanks for the help! Paul Erlendson
