Well, just an easily prepared Heller 1/24 Brabham used by Black Jack to dominate the F2 season. I'll be using a Honda engine block for the twin-cam 1000 cc engine. Patrick

I had one of those way back in the day. I think it came in a dual pack with a Matra F2, IIRC.
Never built it and have no idea what happened to it over multiple moves across the country.
I had a whole lot of kits I wish I still had. Especially with the prices now on eBay.

I scored the original AMT double kit a couple of months ago from a local seller, it wasnt cheap, now I have the Union version and the AMT that will sometime soon be a fun project. I did the research on both the Brabham and Matra so I think it will be a detail double build.. Chris

A very simple model, but my favorite F1 car ever...Cox Ferrari 158 ;D! The glue bomb F3 BT18 is nearly done as Clay Reggazoni's car early in his career. The Championato de F2 is getting close...paint to come as will photos. Patrick ...Regga's car... and bare chassis... and the F2 Brabham-Honda... Patrick

Fantastic!
Your parts box must be unbelievable to be able to pull off all that you do in 1/24 scale! ;D

Hello there,
I got a Brabham Heller kit recently. Patrick, do you have any documentation on the Honda engine? I would like to make a model of Sir Jack's famous F2 1966 season.
Thanks

Very little is out there. The video I posted is really the best source. Some restored BT18 Honda photos, but none I thought really helped. I think I said I based my engine on a Honda 2000 that I sliced and diced...I used Cam covers from a Hasegawa RA272 engine. They have HONDA on them. not really correct, but looks good. Any questions just ask. Oh, the ride height is a bit tall so have the suspension go up a bit before gluing the dampers(shocks) on. Patrick

Fantastic as always, Patrick. As a Honda owner I am interested in the racing history of the marque, which is quite remarkable, really.
I'm sure you've seen this but there is a bit of engine and tranny detail.

Patrick, I just got my hands on a Heller kit and I'm wondering what to create with it. Have you gotten further with your project?

I have only hesitated to finish the two cars because I have only one windscreen. Such a dilemma...answered by my little Mattel vac-form only I don't have a clear sheet of plastic. Time will tell. Patience.

Well, I finally got enough guts to vac-form the windscreen. I was terrified that some how I'd ruin the original and then be up the river! the vac-form one is much more scale like, but harder to glue in place. Both will be complete today. Patrick

Beautiful builds as always Patrick. We certainly owe Philippe for his great F1/2/3 kits!
