Waiting on a *little* better weather so that I can paint! AMT Watson (of course! LOL!!), and the MRRN article by our own oldcalhoun. The article included the drawings for the '60 Ken Paul winner from Bob Clindist which te Simoniz Special was the next year. All mods to the nose and hood are by that article. Just fill, sand, fill, sand, prime, sand (did I say sand??) WAITING ON DR. DAVE FOR AN OIL TANK!!!!! (LOL!!!!) Criticism welcomed and appreciated. Mongo

This looks like it will be a winner. I have a bunch of questions so I hope you will bear with me. First were can I get a copy of the articial you refered to. What is MRRN and how can I get it. The guy you mentioned Dr. Dave is he casting different oil tanks for Watson style roadsters and does he have a list I can get and do you have a way to contact him.

Hey Bill!!!! It's looking really good! Keep us posted to your progress! I can;'t wait to see the finished model! Best to you Russ Thanks, Russ, and the rest of you guys. This is a FUN build, and I am just enjoying the ride! The *article* is from Motor Racing Replicas News, or MRRN. (i hope i got that right! LOL!!) Our own oldcalhoun (Russ Bundy) wrote it, and I got my copy from Dr. Dave. It lists the various Watson winners with Clindinst drawings for them. The nose mods and all are covered plua dash board lay outs, etc., etc.. It is in two parts and is over a dozen pages in all, I would say. Dr. Dave, thanks for all your help, and I hope the Missus is doing great. Mongo

I got the oil tank, all I need now is for the humidity to drop so that I can fire up the compressor! She's in the short rows. We have been having horrible humidity since before the first hurricane that flooded my basement! The airbrush is spitting water, and I have a water trap, and it works! (where's that *pissed off* emoticon??? LOL!!!)

Joy abounds! (it doesn't take much to make me happy anymore. ;D )
The weather has dried out enough for me to use the airbrush, finally! I would have simply used spray can paints if it wasn't for the special gold dust gold that Smokey always used. This necessitates using the airbrush. I erall hope to have it finished in the next few days now!
