What would be a close match in Testors laquer? I don't have anyone in my area that sells Tamiya sprays.

And the wheels look very good. Figure brake shoe dust, dust from the track, it all builds up.

Sorry this is the thread that as the upgrade kit from Tim and Russ that I was asking about. I'm sure this as been covered at some point. I'm getting ready to build my first Monogram kit and was hoping someone could tell me a little more about upgrade kit that Calvin is talking about in this thread. Thanks So, after I got the kit I got the upgrade kit from Tim and Russ which I got it today! It looks really good! Lots of hard work went into doing this upgrade resin kit. Thanks guys! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------- ***fixed it for you -Jordan***

Oh I forgot to mention, I had to raise the rear axle, because the kit way is too damn low. Which makes the ride height too high in the rear. I dont know if anyone else found that problem building this kit? BTW I'm going to redo my pics, just so that you guys can actually see the model easier. I'm building this car right now. But I'm curious as to why you think it needs to be raised. I would think it needs to be lowered. I've built this kit stock a couple of times and from what I remember they sit a bit high. It's been awhile though so I'll have to dig them out of the box and refresh my memory on that. I'm using the pic here as reference www.vukovichaccident.com/Vukovich%202%201955%20Final.jpgOh, and great build. I hope mine looks that good.

These beautiful cars encouraged me to build my own Hopkins Special and here it is as it ran at the Bordeaux Vintage slot car meet in France last year (2013).
The racers are built using pre-1972 parts so my car ran a dynamic chassis with a Champion 507 26D rewind from back in the day. Decals are Indycals, driver is a Fujimi
Results are based on both on track result and Concours score (scored by your fellow racers) so an ideal score is 2, 1st in concours, 1st on track. My car scored 15 out of 50+ cars racing
The car is a blast to drive.
I hope that you like her...

Looks great! I'll be coming out with the "Kurtis Kraft Konversion Kit" later this summer.
