I see you did some "louver removal" on the hood. Like your windscreen modification. Build looks really good overall.

Gretat job! Are those the Caruso Offy markings? No. Caruso midget was different. That car is the famous Ashley Wright Hardwood Doors Car called the 'deuce.' Drivers who piloted the car were Shorty Templeman, Don Branson, Lloyd Ruby, Chuck Rodee, and Len Sutton. Templeman won the 1956 USAC National & Midwestern Championship's in the car. It is now owned by Bob Neilson of Ukiah, CA. and competes in west coast vintage events. It is probably one of the most stunning Kurtis's of all-time. Great build of a great car. -Rick

Nice build.
FYI: Big Donkey Resin has a resin nose and grille to build the Revell KK midget with a nose that looks more like a Peck nose (which the real car used). Also, Scale Auto Details (http://public.fotki.com/doctordarryl/scaleautodetails) offers decals for the Hardwood Door Corp. Offy as well as resin brake drums (which were easily seen on the real car).
When I finish my build of the Hardwood Dood Corp Offy with the new nose and Scale Auto Details brake drums and decals I'll post it here.

Finished my version of the Hardwood Door Corp. Offy today. I used a Big Donkey Resin nose/grille. I also used resin brake drums and decals from Scale Auto Details. Ever since I got the Bill Montgomery book on Kurtis-Kraft Midgets I wanted to build this model but no one had an appropriate nose. Also, brake drums are prominent on this car (look at the cover picture on Bill's book). Thankfully Big Donkey Resin brought out a nose and grille conversion set. I already had the artwork done for the decals but was waiting for an energetic resin caster to do their magic with a nose/grille (and Larry came through with flying colors). The seat bolster was made from 0.3 inch thick styrene and blended to the seat with Squadron Green putty. I have two more Offy midgets under the work bench; the Schaefer Gear Works Offy and the Bowes Seal Fast Spl. Jr. Offy that I hope to finish in the next 2-3 months. Then there is the Chem-Flo Special (with Peck nose) driven by AJ Foyt. By sometime next year I should have enough midget models built to stage the start of a main event at Flemington! Attachments:

No doubt Greg is the best guy when it comes to one off or custom decals! I'm doing my 1st two from the box to get a feel for the kits, but will be looking to Greg for the rest.
