At the risk of having my new model buddies here think I’m a wishy washy Old Coot, ::)I’ve decided to put the Deuce Coupe on the back burner for awhile, and build my Revell Kurtis Midget, the Edelbrock V8/60 Flat Head Ford version. There are several reasons why, but one is the kit has detailed fuel lines and carb linkage included in the kit parts. If I can manage to add ignition wires, the little flatty should be a hot looking little motor.
My Grandson wanted me to build the deuce coupe, as he was taken with the photos on the box, and the flame decals. He thinks the flames are way cool.
When he sat down with me, and we went through the Kurtis kit for the first time, he said, ‘ PaPa ’, I like this little race car, it is OK with me if we do this one first if you want to.’
I picked up a couple of rattle cans of paint, and new brush paints last night. I should have something to share by the end of next week if not sooner.
Best regards,
Harold
