I chose this indy racer from my collection just as a test to see if I could get this to work. I did not build this model, my good friend and race car modeler John Krick, a founding member of ACME, did this kit of Rick Mears 1988 Indy Winner. John built it, I prouldly own it now, displayed up front so everyone has no problem seeing it. John is a great modeler, very generous, will tell you any and everything he knows on the subject. John is a purist, he only builds race car models. Hope you enjoy. Harold Attachments:

Nice Work.
The 1988 Winner was actually my first ever indycar build.

Thank you Guys ! John and I both thank you.
I spoke with John before posting to be sure he would be OK with it, and if I could mention his name. He was fine with it.
Yea, that's a Carousel Brick Yard base, from my # 4 Rathmann 1960 Indy winner.
The bricks look a little out of scale with a 1/25 model, but the extra room on the base make up for it.
Thanks again,
Harold

It looks nice, I'm always on the lookout for C1 bases. If you ever hear of any, keep me in mind.

It looks nice, I'm always on the lookout for C1 bases. If you ever hear of any, keep me in mind. Thanks so much. I only have the one, the one that came with the Rathmann watson. I purchased the Rathmann roadster in a small die cast, model car shop. The model was sitting in the show case, and the Rathmann car was already out of production. The gentlemen sold it to me for a good price, and surprised the heck out of me when he walked back to the back of the shop, and came out with the pristine original box, and the brick base and all the paper work. That was my Biggy Christmas present from my sweet wife that year. Thanks again.
