YUKT!!!!! F-1 tested closed Canopies today in search of improved driver safety. After Massa's accident in Hungry the FIA is looking ...but not too hard at Canopies. It will never happen!! Chris

UH...what will the canopy be made of that could improve driver safety? Perhaps a surplus F16 canopy? I hate the idea! That being said...it does look exceedingly slippery!

On www.totalf1.com they have some test video of a 20lbs wheel being shot by a rocket(or similar) at a canopy, the standard Lexan or ? was demolished , next up a Fighter plane canopy which actually held up rather well. But the concern is getting a driver out after a bad accident ?? I guess next up would be Ejection Seats?? LOL.... Chris

I think it looks kinda cool. But perhaps now it looks too much like a fighter jet.
