I thought it might be worth putting ups some old shots of the different stages of this build: I made the assumption that the AMT '88/'89 kits would be suitable for the under tray and rear end stuff. Notice that the suspension parts have been turned upside down. Somewhere I found a picture that confirmed this. I have never had a very easy time getting source material for these cars (every decade of Indy seems to have its mysteries) , so there is a lot of guesswork involved. Also, I find that not all kits lend themselves to this kind of treatment, and the Galmer was possibly the worst of the lot (sorry Mr. Jorgenson). I am sure that if I wasn't a fanatic about under cowl detail the kits would all be just fine, but trying to squeeze actual detail under some of these very narrow shapes can be remarkably difficult. Talk about nose in the weeds: I will post photos of the finished work shortly. pbh

Got some shots today of the finished car: Scratch building includes the Chevy decals on the valve covers: With the body work in place: Lots of lessons learned on this one. pbh

I can only imagine the number of hours dremeling, test fitting and mounds of resin dust on the floor! I have built a number of these myself as curbsides! You're a much braver man than I am. Nice job.
