I'm Working on Revell's W01 kit having already started before joining the forum. I've seen other folks work but I have developed an awful habit of going too far, sorry, hope you enjoy my 'upgrades'. The kit is based on the pre-season test car and I want to do the China race car, to do anything later in the year means major surgery to the air-box and elongating the wheelbase. Changes to the front wing include re-shaping the under-wing strakes to make them more circular. The secondary flaps need reshaping and the supports building up. New under-wing strakes are to be added under the end plate fences. the inner fences of the tertiary wing pair need to be reduced in depth and thickness. the rear of the end plates need reducing in thickness and the lip at the top scribing in. All the over scale thickness reduced. Once the front wing updates are in progress I also had a look at the Front wing supports and the repositioning of the nose camera pods. the kit side strakes need removing from the car and the old camera pod indentations need filling. New strakes to divert airflow more cleanly to the side pod openings have been added. These disappeared again later in the year. A new splitter-finger camera mount is made to replace the small triangular one that was moulded on. Thats it for now but more news on the upgrades soon. Regards , Ian

Hi guys, sorry I,ve been away for a while, busy with a load of other stuff (Military :-( models) but finally, after almost a year, the W01 from the Chinese GP is finished. It has a whole host of changes from the kit, front wing, rearwing, bodywork and suspension. Hope it meets with your approval

Wow, great job! I never noticed the plaid pattern on the seat.
