Well guys, I'm sure you've heard of a modeler on a budget. That's me. I'm a college student, so having a plethora of tools isn't really in the cards for me at the moment. Hell, nearly all of my tools can fit inside of a small box. The last car I've built to date was a Roberto Guerrero 1992 Pole winning car for the Indy 500. I got the decals from a well known poster on here. The entire thing's hand painted, 3 coats of flat white then 3 coats of Tamiya Park Green. I decided to just leave the Ford engine on the car because I'm not taking the engine cover off of it so no one will know what's underneath. Yes, the kitchen floor (as well as all the tile floor) is black and white checkered. The family's big race fans. ;D The car won its division at a New Orleans and Baton Rouge model show. And the story has a happy ending, thanks to a silver sharpie someone else handed me after Guerrero signed another pic with the black one in his hand: Complaints, criticisms, and calls for me to stop modeling are welcome, but those calls will most likely go unheeded. ;D

It sure looks good to me. Talent overcomes the lack of resources once again. Take Care Craig

Roberto may not have been a big winner while racing, but he is a super human being. The car looks great, neat subject too.

Keep it up! It's all about having fun, no matter the budget, and creating experiences. Looks like you did that with this car! Nice job.

Nice work with the brush paint! I once knew how to paint like that, but the skill became a lost one when I got my first airbrush. Very nice clean work on the model there. I assume that is the Tamiya Duracell Lola you used for the plastic?
