Looking for a long lost set that I'm pretty sure AMT did for the T8800 Lola. It was a #5 with markings for KMart and the sidepods were painted black with Havoline markings.

IIRC you are thinking of the '89 car. '88 was still the white Amoco car and '89 was the Havoline car.

Yeah, I'm not sure which kit, if any, AMT put those with. In the 1989 Lola kit they had the decals for the 1990 Newman Haas team, with the #3 on it. Macsparty did a nice job on that car, using Jorgenson's 1990 Lola kit. mb2501.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=cart&action=display&thread=1 I built the car with the decals for Mario's 1989 ride. I got those from a guy I bought caseloads of kits. He just put them in an envelope and sent them along with the kits. And after moving a few times, I have mis-placed them. |

Yes, AMT did create a decal sheet with the correct markings for their 89 Havoline/KMart Lola, but I don't think it was ever included in any of their kits. I think you actually had to purchase these decals direct from the company as a "special offer". I wasn't even aware that they existed until a couple years ago. They are very rare, but on occasion a copy will show up on eBay. RussD |

Thanks Russ. I didn't think I ever saw them in a kit but since I did that model (a bit sloppily I should add) I have wanted to re-do it. Guess I'd better hunt through some of my old boxes.
