Really nice build. The one detail I like is the right side tires being wider than the left.

First of all I know this ain't USAC but .... Man, I love that car! My dad raced up there in the 50's...Flat Rock, Mt. Clemens, Motor City, Toledo, M-59 and even the Fairgrounds...I know he ran with Gordy at one point...Below are a couple pics of my father from those days....Modified 6's was the class he ran, and he was Flat Rock champion in 1960...This car is what inspired me to get back into this hobby I enjoyed as a kid...I hope to hone my skills enough to scratchbuild this thing!! BTW, Anyone recognize the straight six? If so, please educate me! For some reason I never asked my Pop when he was alive... My dad is right in front of the pole below... Bill Hasselle, Jr.

Thanks for the photos - yes, those were fun cars to watch! My best guess is that the engine was a Hudson inline 6 as they were very popular among the racers at that time. The Hudson was very strong and had a great power curve.
