Obviously the Belanger special is the easiest to do.
What I want to know is what other cars would you like to see done? And if possible, can you provide good photos? I know I could go to the IMS photo department, but I'd spend more money there than I'd ever gain back in sales. The books I have are very limited in the photos of the 500C/D. It seems my best reference photos are photos of the Carousel 1/18 cars (and even those aren't as plentiful as you'd think, at least as far as different views go).
This is your opportunity to get what you want for this kit, as I'm pretty indifferent about what to do.

Those decals came right from one of the kit releases. It was the double kit with the Edmunds super modified.

Hi, how about the Hinkle Spl decals like these on Russ' Kurtis- mb2501.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=4162&action=display&thread=829 ...or the '54 #35 Hopkins Spl driven by Pat O'Conner. I think this car was Vulk's fatal ride for 1955. ...or the '54 Bardahl Spl of Bill Holland/Jim Rathmann. This (again I think) was the car Monogram based their Filter Queen Spl on. Hey roadster gurus, help me out here!. I'll try and get some photos posted, but my computer has been acting up lately. Sandy

Maybe the John Zink #53 that Troy Ruttman drove in '56, or Sam Hanks' #4 Jones and Maley from the same year, or the Pete Schmidt from 1956 or 1957?

The Ward and Hynkel car are very doable. As for the other other suggestions, as I said, I need photographs. The books I have are just not that good, usually showing only a small qualifying shot. I even bought the Frank Kurtis Indianapolis Cars book, and it too is very disappointing as far as reference photos go. And of the pics I do have, they are black and white - again, not very helpful. Even good pics of the Carousel cars would be very helpful (beyond the standard product shots which are already out there).

Contact the forum member "professor" to see if he can help you, Michael. He did some work for C1 and I want to say it was graphics - can't say for sure on which cars he worked.

Johnny Boyd's 1955 Sumar Special #39. I also think that Marshal Teague drove one too #48 after '55. The Summar cars were simple but pretty cool paint jobs. Attachments:

1957 Eddie Sachs "Schmidt Special". All maroon paint job, silver lettering and numbers. Car number was 88. Actually Sachs' rookie year. I have the IMS color photo. Pretty simple and basic.

Is the current release with the yellow livery a real livery or is it made-up?

It's made up. It's basically the filter queen livery made generic.

Michael, I'm building a model of the '53 Wolcott Spl. powered by a Chrysler hemi. I'm converting the Monogram kit to a 500A. I've switched it to a left side drive. Am now working on the nose. Bob Clidinst drawings are a godsend!
A while ago you made the # 95 for me for a Watson/Lotus-Ford. I need the same Font (ball on the end of the numbers for a 2 and a 5. The size seems to be the same (3/4"x3/4"). These numbers look to be white with a black outline. I'm still trying to track down the color of the car, so any help will be appreciated.
