Looks great - I have seen Dave T use this method for cutting the undertrays and the outcome is nice. Can't wait to see this come together!!

Yeah i borrowed the idea from Dave Jordan, we communicated and it works out the easiest way to get the tub in after everything is painted.

What is truly interesting about this shot is the cool little details of the Mid-Ohio car. The popoff valve looks like it has a spacer on it because it sticks way out. Plus this car is running on a road course with the sidepods of a superspeedway car. Look in front of the rear wheels, the kickup has no side fences and that piece hanging over - both were typically only seen at Michigan and Fontana.

Jordan,
I notice the same thing about the speedway sidepod area pieces...interesting...

Guess I should stop hijacking thread LOL
Shayne, tell us more: what wing set are you going to use? Are you doing the "Louie" version or the regular nose decals?

Jordan i have the Speedline Decals SPD1 which has what looks like the Lizard but not how i recall them doing the lizard on the sidepods etc, this is for the nose cone only, i presume there is another sheet around as well? I will be going with the roadcourse wings as i like the look of the chunkier parts over the speedway ones.

Look again at the '99 references in that photog's album - you can kind of see Louie on the nose but it is definitely not on the sidepod. The Louie graphic is pretty poor on the Speedline sheet and looks like a salamander or something but short of redrawing it and printing it on an Alps, whatchagonnado?

Looks like it's coming together quite nicely Shayne! Can't wait to see the finished product! I've used these kits many times for parts, but never actually put one together. I'll have to do that sometime, so I'm taking notes.

Going to start to put this together now, so just a mock up prior to everything being glued. I have managed to get the 2K on and will rub this back as i got some dust in it while drying, and then finish it all up.
