Anyone know where to find photos/stats on the Parnelli Indy cars? I'll be making a trip to the Wally Parks NHRA museum in Pomona, Ca, to photograph Foyt's Parnelli on display in the near future. Also, any kits available?

I was looking for the Parnelli Indy car built in the late 70's by Parnelli Jones. Several teams including Foyt and Ongais used it.......

I found this one late last night while going through some pics from my friend Dean Jeffries shop. Its of Foyts car, As far as I know its still there.. I cant find his phone number right now, but I will see if I can figure out where I put it and call during the week. I havent talked to him in a couple of months and If it is still there maybe I can go take some more pics, the shop is in Hollywood, Ca. about 15 minutes from my house. I will let you know... Chris

M.A. Models makes one, but it's in 1/43. They also make the still-born Porsche version. I don't think these old eyes (and hands) would allow work on anything that small. www.mamodels.com/mod-indy.html

Foyt's Parnelli (at least one of them) is at the old Parnelli Jones race shop off of 16th street in Indianapolis. Walter's maybe? Bill Jorgensen knows the name of the shop for sure. It was there the last two years but I do not remember seeing it this year. I was totally entranced by the 72 Penske! Below is a picture of it in March of 2010. The Foyt/Parnelli which I believe Foyt finished 2nd with was not at Walter Goodwin's Restoration Shop when Bill and I went there on Wednesday.

Thx for the info and photos guys. PS anyone know why IndyCar Weekly was canceled on Versus? I though it was a good show. One of the complaints I found is that it came on in the afternoon. That's why someone invented DVR's...........

There was a 1/32 kit of that car, pretty close, I think LS (Japan) made it, I don't remember what it was called (generic scheme). Had one years ago, don't have a picture of it.

Lance,
It appears that there is a strong possibility of a F1 conversion, yes?

Lance, It appears that there is a strong possibility of a F1 conversion, yes? patrick Patrick, Just an FYI ... Bill J. did/does a 1/20 F1 Parnelli (both high and low airbox version). It uses parts from Tamiya Wolf WR1. Rusty

Great job Lance they are looking great!! Saw the early version of the Parnelli when you had it at the memorabilia show in Feburary and it so nice. One of my favorite cars for sure. You know I don't do much in 1/24 or 1/25 scale, but I will definately be getting both versions from you when they are released. There are so many variations of this car that can be done. AWESOME JOB!!
