Soggy but great day at the track yesterday. Spent about four hours at the museum. Hung out with Lazierfan and ran into many other friends, including Chuck Sprague who spent about an hour with me giving me a lot of behind the scenes stories about many of the Penske cars in the museum - that in and of itself was more than worth the price of admission, especially since I didn't expect him to be here since he retired earlier this year.

Today I met Richard Harroun - Ray Harroun's son. He looks just like his dad from the pictures of him at the 50th anniversary in 1961. That was something I will NEVER forget. Also saw: John Martin, Wally Dallenbach, Eldon Rasmussen and Teo Fabi. Sebastien Saavedra photo-bombed me as I was taking his picture

Man, what a weekend. I'm almost recovered now.
Seeing all the drivers at the various sessions and such was indeed great. This could be the best race weekend I've ever had. It certainly ranks right up there.
As for the board, by total chance I met clm1545 in the museum, then it was good to see both Michael and Bill J at the memorabilia show.
Tickets are already ordered for 2012!

I met up with Michael & LazierFan for dinner Friday night and saw them both at the Mem show too. It was a great time and I finally go to meet Mario Andretti. I had heard he wasn't the niceset guy in the world but my short time with him was fantastic. I was supposed to have a helmet for him to sign but that fell through at the last minute. There I stood in line with nothing for him to sign. He looked at me funny because most people had 3 or four thing for him to sign. I just said, "Hi Mr. Andretti. I have nothing for you to sign but just wanted to finally meet you." He said, "Well that's great and it's nice to meet you." He shook my hand and then he reached under the table and signed a small poster for me. It was great.
