I started this over 1 year ago and picked it up again... I sliced and diced the very brittle plastic Atlas slot body... I have used flat black as a primer to shade down the Hunter Green spray can... Painted it today and await the results. Patrick

Paint came out ok to so-so... Size up the engine/trans... Slide those decals on! another Cooper formula to add to the collection.

Very cool build Patrick, looking forward to seeing the finished car.
What is your sourse for BRG paint? The only time I needed it for a BRM H16 I wound up mixing it by hand and used some old R&T center folds for a reference.
Keep up the great work.

John,
I use a Hunter Green spray can with an undercoat of flat black. I hate cleaning airbrushes!

Thanks Patrick, now that you mention it I have painted all my book cases in the office here Hunter Green and they do look like a grate match for BRG. I also hear you on the airbursh cleaning. I am a stickler for cleaning paint guns in general and my airbrush in particular. I have a wonderful Paasche VL and it just kills me to think of how long it is going to take to clean when all I'm painting is a 1/43 scale 50 or 60s era f1 body!
Looking forward to seeing more pics.

Well, I'm short the windscreen, but the car is basically together. I really like the model, but hated working with the brittle old plastic slot car body. Patrick

Thanks Calvin! I'm going to pull all the F2 and F3 cars that I've made for a group photo on a new thread.

I have been thinking on various ways to attack the front ride height problem and, actually, working on this car gave me the idea. I've learned to be patient and work on problems slowly. Soon!
