so with all the former winners at the track this year I get the bright idea to bring all the tickets from the Indy 500s I've been to (since 1985) to have my tickets signed by the winners from each respective year. (A few years were left at home, either because they already had signatures, were doubles, or the winner wasn't expected to be there). Things got off to a good start - I had Arie sign my 1990 ticket. Now, keep in mind that I was keeping my tickets in a lanyard, under my tucked in t-shirt, and for most of the day I was wearing a backpack that has two belts that fasten across my chest. So, basically for most of the day the lanyard was secured to my chest. After the days activities I went to switch into a fresh shirt before going out to dinner. When I took off my shirt, much to my shock and horror, my lanyard was EMPTY!!!! I'd lost every ticket I'd brought (at least 20), for which most of them, I do not have a backup - including last years' ticket which I'd already had signed by Helio, Mario Andretti and Jamie McMurray. Other than that, I had a great day. Even scored use of a silver badge for part of the day - my first time ever on pit road during track activity.

Oh wow. In Australia we have an expression for that: "Oh bugger" (pronounced 'bugga', naturally). At least the silver badge would have brightened things up, though!
Cheers,
Mungo.

UH...watch EvilBay and see how much they sell for...well, maybe that isn't so funny. Is is a major bummer Michael. I know, as I once had Niki Lauda, Donohue, Surtees, and more until the Ex ended their existence.

Michael, when I met you at the Memorabilia Show a couple of years ago, I found quite a few ticket stubs for sale, most in those ticket-baseball card covers.
Good luck hunting!

Maybe you could put some feelers out in the garages for what it's worth. I'll even ask around tomorrow to see if anything's been floating around. God that sucks.

Michael Must be in the air this year, lost my camera on Friday after I scored some great pics at the track. Radiator in my H3 spilled its lifeblood all over Indiana with only 58000 miles on it. Cant get me down, the sun was out, the race was great (no Penske or Ganassi) the commaraderie was second to none, and the beer was frigid cold.
