It's a little slow today on the site so I thought I would post my 1964 Mario Andretti Trenton roadster. Mario wanted to run this car at Indy in 64 but both Al Dean & Clint Brawner thought Mario needed some more seat time so Mario had to wait until 1965 before racing at the brickyard. This was originally a Johnny Rutherford 64 Carousel 1 Watson Roadster modified to Mario's car as run at Trenton in 1964. This is really quite remarkable. I love your skill as a builder and your knowledge as a racing historian. I build only 1/24 or 1/25 and reminds me of why. Really nice build. My best, Jim

The Carousel 1 is a wonderful base to start with and there are literally dozens of possibilties. That and the fact that Stu and Ralph are a pair of geniuses!!!

Geniuses indeed. That car is gorgeous. Steve, a couple of days ago you mentioned on a post that after seeing these cars in black and white photos and then seeing them recreated really illustrates how beautiful the cars back then really were. That's an excellent point. This forum and the skills displayed have brought these cars back to life in a way. Yet one more reason to love this forum.
