I have been collecting parts for this project for a long time. Finally, I have what I need so... voila! Chris Lawrence's Cooper-Ferrari entered by J.A. Pierce in a few F1 races in '66 & '67. so...start with a K&B Cooper slot car body, add some wheels/tires/suspension/Hewland trans, and ,especially, a 250 GTO Ferrari engine...put into a box and shake... now I need to assemble and paint. Watch this one go together as I finish the 246 F1 Ferrari.

The work that I see on this site is truly amazing. Talk about a unique subject! I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time...
Patrick, as a fellow Bay Area resident, is it safe to say you will be at the Ferrari event at Laguna Seca next month?

Well, after painting the car I have to look for another color as the real car's color was a deeper metallic green than mine. I'll see if I can find the right rattle can. Patrick

I found a light green Toyota paint that is going to work; meanwhile the engine progresses. I don't like doing spark plug wires on Ferraris as they never look as good as some of the great kit wire sets that I've seen. So no wires It will have fuel lines tho...forza! Patrick

Good, very good Patrick. Just one question: the tubes/bars that you used for the chassis, what diameter ? looks 2mm . Cheers. Alex

Lord, I don't really know because they are a set of pick-up sticks (plastic sticks game), but the right diameter for space-frame cars!

;)Finally got off my arse and completed this long "lost" F1 racer...well, almost complete. It still need the nose repainted, mirrors put on, and J.A. Pearce decals applied. Anyway I waited a long time for this one to be done... Patrick

To me they were so much more interesting that today's F1 cars...NO independents allowed! How much more independent can you get than this car! LOL!
