More decals are coming shortly. I have about 8 new Offy midget decal sets in the works which should be released in the next 30-45 days along with another one for a V8 60 midget. Having been born and raised on the East Coast (Allentown, pA area), I am familiar with many of the old east coast midgets having seen them run at various tracks around Allentown (and at the Allentown Fairgrounds).
Any suggestions for additional V8 60 decals?
I am also looking for a good picture of the #19 Schaefer Gear Works Offy midget and would appreciate if anyone has one to post it here or IM me with an attachment.
I just got this started and will add an icon later.

VRM has 2 sets due out in early summer. They should be printed by Cartograf like all their other sheets and will feature gold foil numbers, silver snaps and dzus fasteners, brass engine and chassis plates. Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiTrevor

The decals from Scale Auto Details are for individual midgets so one does not have to buy a sheet with 6-7 other vehicles that may not be of interest nor pay for sponsor decals that were not used on the 1:1 cars. I have spoken to Steve of Vintage Racing Miniatures (VMR) and we will coordinate midget decal offerings. He is aware of the current offerings from Scale Auto Details. I presently have a few decal sets that he does not offer (and may never offer). Likewise, he is doing decals for a few midgets that I have not yet covered and my not since he will have them available. However, if there is sufficient interest from the modeling community to have decal sets for an individual midget instead of a sheet covering multiple subjects, I may offer individual decals of some that VMR covered on a limited basis. The decals from Scale Auto Details have metallic numbers and markings (gold or silver as appropriate) and have been reviewed (in Model Cars Magazines - Jan. 2011 issue) and given high marks for accuracy and quality.

I have a new folder on Fotki showing builds using decals and/or parts from Scale Auto Details which can be seen at this link: public.fotki.com/doctordarryl/models-built-with-s/I encourage builders who use parts or decals from Scale Auto Details to send me a few high quality digital photos and a brief write up so I can post them in this folder, with the appropriate credit to the builder.

Here is my latest midget build. Since I was raised near Allentown, PA, I recall the old midget races at various fiar grounds and at tracks in NJ (like Flemington, trenton, etc.). I have a soft spot for racers from the Lehigh Valley so I built this one; The pink race car owned by Charlie Sacks (from Allentown) and driven by the Clown Prince of Racing - Eddie Sachs (also from Allentown). Decals coming soon from Scale Auto Details. I will post it on my Fotki site public.fotki.com/doctordarryl/scaleautodetails when they are ready for release. Attachments:

The Charlie Sacks offy midget was driven by Eddie Sachs (both owner and driver were from Allentown, PA). As a matter of fact, Sacks Automotive is still in operation in Allentown, PA. I was from that area so have an interest in building this particular model since I remember seeing it driven at local tracks. These are new decals available from Scale Auto Details along with the following: Caruso Offy, Tuffy's Offy, Bowes Seal Fast Special Jr. Offy, and Hollywood Spring Axel Special Offy. You can see all the decals and resin parts from Scale Auto Details at the following Fotki site: public.fotki.com/doctordarryl/scaleautodetails/

Latest build still under construction. The Mataka Brothers Offy midget driven by Mario Andretti in '62-'63. This is the Revell KK Offy kit with a Hillegass nose/grill resin conversion kit from Big Donkey Resin (www.bigdonkeyresin.com) and decals from Scale Auto Details. I have some detailing remaining. I thank you for your comment. Coming from a builder of your stature it is a true complement.
I am a builder first and an aftermarket vendor second. I got into the decal and resin "business" doing work for myself and friends. I have been building for more than 50years and only got into the aftermarket business about 15 years ago.
I now have 10 midget decal sets available. I am releasing seven more decal sets by late July or early August. I have focused somewhat on East Coast cars since I grew up in PA and saw a number of them run at the local tracks in PA and NJ. I met Mario Andretti many years ago and had to build the Mataka Brothers Offy from the 62-63 era since that was when Mario drove it. In fact, Mario won three main events in one day in August '63 driving the Mataka Brothers KK Offy (with a Hillegass nose).
Keep building.

Latest midget build. I started this some time ago but was stumped as to how to simulate the lower windshield. I finally had an idea to use a decal so I made a decal and applied it to the lower part of the kit windshield. I attached the photoetched screw heads with Future and then dipped the entire windshield in Future. I think it turned out okay. The paint is Krylon Short Cuts Bonnet Blue cut with Duplicolor lacquer thinner and airbrushed over Mr. Surfacer 1200 primer. The kit chrome was stripped and redone with Alclad II Chrome over Boyd's Gloss Black. Decals from Scale Auto Details. Attachments:

Roll bar made from Detail Master #4 hardline and mounted to the frame as in the 1:1 subject. Decals and rear brake drums were from Scale Auto Details.

Very latest build (as of 1/16/2012) is the #19 Schafer (note correct spelling) Gear Works Offy. This company's name and location have been incorrect on previous decal offerings. Maybe the artwork was done from a "restored" car and the name was misspelled on purpose? The company location is South Bend, IL and not Crest Point, IL. The company is still there. It was airbrushed with Tamiya Pure White and cleared with Tamiya Clear. The frame was airbrushed with Tamiya Black. The carbs have fuel lines and throttle linkage. Decals and rear brake drums from Scale Auto Details. I will also be offering decals for the #18 Schafer Gear Works Offy. Attachments:
