Hi,
Discovery of your forum coincided with several trips to the attic in an effort to get rid of some of the stuff that's accumulated over the years. Uncovered were many kits that I bought fully intending to build......but I'm sure you all know how that works. Even though the last car I completed was a newly released 1/12 scale Tamiya Honda RA273, I'm hoping to get back into building some of the stockpile. The builds that I see here are definitely inspiring. My main interests are in the cars of the 50s, 60s and 70s. These days, I enjoy going to vintage events more than the modern race series. I also like motorsports art and do paintings of my favorite cars, when I can find the time.
Glad to meet you all, Don

Hey Don, Welcome to the group. This group is a varied bunch of excellent builders. Looks like you're a bit on my side of the fence with open wheeled cars. I'm one of the F1 folks with my interests in F1,2,3,and F5000 of the 60's and early 70's. Questions or help is a digital breath away!

Thanks for the welcome Jim, Indycals and chaparral2k! Patrick, I would say that I'm definitely more on the F-1/road racing side, although I've always followed Indycar racing too. I actually owned a Brabham BT6 F-Junior for a while that had been converted to a Formula C car with Kawasaki 1000cc power. It was pretty beat up and I was trying to put it back together for time trials and autocross. An unplanned employment crisis put an end to that and I sold it for next to nothing . Don

Thanks stonecold44 and John. Looks like I've got a lot of learning to do if I want to approach the models I've seen here.

Don, My heart goes out to your BT6 and your loss. Similar problems caused the loss of my FC Lotus 18. Welcome to our group.
