A much better race than I expected. Conway sure had everyone covered on that last stint. The double file restarts stink, in my opinion. They almost always end up with a grash in the first turn. Take Care Craig

As Long Beach goes this was a fantastic race. For Conway to pass both Dario and Brisco to take the win made it even more special. To beat Ganassi & Penske is one thing but to do it by passing them on the track is another. Great racing and very little carnage.

With the layout of the circuit at Long Beach, there was no tangible way to enforce the re-start rule. The distance between the final corner and start/finish was too short for that. It was the best LBGP I can ever remember since the F1 days.

Glad to see someone other than Penske or Ganassi win! Helio helped out big time with that one! Even though they couldn't get lined up two by two, the race still looked like a Friday night demolition derby to me. Viso and Sato didn't disappoint, they both had their accidents! I don't know how Lotus stays in business with those two.
I won't even comment on Robin Miller, not worth it.
To bad for Conway in winners circle! That's even becoming like NASCAR. They have that all choreographed too, just like the "good ole' boys!"

For a street course race it held my attention span until the end. I have always thought Long Beach has been pretty boring. Even if Helio had not taken out Power it appeared Conway had everyone covered at the end. He dispatched Dario Judd quite handily. I thought Ryan Huntrers post race comments were pretty sad.

How about the F-Bomb dropped by Marco? i think they are going to have to go to a seven second delay!

Marco dropped a series of them, only one was really clear. What did RHR say at the end? Missed that.

Simonaaaaa. This lady looks like she could be a serious contender for winning Indy if not a championship in the future. Kudos to Mike Conway! What a comeback for that Indy crash.
Tracy almost took me out too, he's the only driver I've seen use a mini bike to race from his trailer to his pit! I am sure he didn't even care if it was a girl in his way. (not me, Simona)
On a side note: Long Beach is my home town, I posted some photos of action in the pits from the first F1 race qualifying day, in the Chineese F1 thread.
