Looks great! What do you like to use for clear? Tamiya clear, I use it 98% of the time ;D I like to use Tamiya sprays anytime I can.

I rubbed out the body which really looks good! I also started on the suspension.

I have to ask, what is "color sanding"? Thanks Just a type wet sanding. Wet sanding paint or clear in this case to get rid of orange peal. I used 4,000 grit micro mesh to do so.

Fantastic job on a beautiful car. I met Mr. Ward on a few occasions after he moved to the San Diego area late in life. What a classy and humble guy. You would never guess all that he had accomplished.
One night I was at the local short track (Cajon Speedway, sadly gone) and he was in the announcers booth for awhile. This guy won the Indy 500! Twice! And he's doing commentary at at little 3/8ths oval in east San Diego county. Fantastic.

How does one get the decal autograph?!?!? I need some in 1/18 for my Carousel 1 bases?!?!? Got the kneepads and Chapstick out here!!! If you have a good autograph on white paper, you can print onto decal stock. Just don't sell it or claim that it is an true signature.

How does one get the decal autograph?!?!? ! Just buy some clear water slide decal paper and have your driver sign anyway. Back in the day Russ got many of the old drivers autographs on decal paper, and this is one of them. Correct me if I'm wrong Russ but you had Rodger autograph this one the same time you interviewed him for the 1998 Indy 500 yearbook. (See Russ' interview of Rodger in the 98 yearbook also the model display article as well)

It came out exceptional! Beautiful car! I'm getting motivated to pull my kit out and get started!
Little late but I've only used Testors lacquer clear and have never had a problem, even using fast automotive lacquer to thin it out. I try to stay with light coats so it can flash off quickly.
