Sometimes these forums provide inspiration to build a certain car.... I saw Alaski's build of this car and thought I had to have one for my display case. Amt kit with Indycals decals. This one is missing a couple of small decals that got misplaced somehow. First ever open wheel build. Had alot of fun with this, more too come as I have taken a liking to the Indy and F1 cars. Thanks Art, for the inspiration (and the shoulder belt logos)

Love it!! For your first Indy build, I'd say you did a great job on it. It's one of my favorite cars so of course I'd be biased, but you did some great detail on it. What did you use for the plumbing from the sidepods?

What did you use for the plumbing from the sidepods? Thanks Stonecold, I used 1/8 inch solder for the sidepod plumbing with heatshrink tubing wrapped with a very thinly cut pieces of chrome pinstripe to simulate hose and clamps.

Very nice exhaust paint! One question that I have noticed( please don't take offense!!!!!!), nice plumbing and electrics, but why no brake lines? I see many fine models without brake like. Am I missing something?

Great job. For the record though, Mario raced a Lola T-8700 Chassis #9 in the 1988 Indy 500. About the only visible difference between the '87 and '88 cars was that the '87 car had a sharper outer upper corner at the top of the radiator intake. Semantics perhaps, still a great build.
