Is the #44 Yunick/Rathmann Watson a 1961 version or a 1960? From the pics I have seen, it looks like a 1961 due to the way the hood goes higher than the 1960, but then again, I'm not an expert. Nic

The #44 car is the 1962 car the # 4 is the 1961 car and he won in 1960 in the #4 Ken-Paul Spl.

It appears that the #44 was based on either the 1961 or 1960 Watson, but I don't know enough between them to distinguish it off hand. Nic

It was the same car all 3 years with some updates made from year to year. In 1963 it was the Spirit Of St.Louis Spl. # 53 driven by Paul Russo at Indy but DNQ. This car was then raced at Mil. 100 driven by Bud Tinglestad, Trenton 150 driven By Mel Kenyon, Mil. 200 driven by Chuck Rodee and Trenton 200 driven by Bob Harkey. In 1964 It was the Wally Weir's Mobilgas Spl. #4 driven by Bob Harkey. This is the way the car has been restored and can be seen at vintage events. Hope this helps Walt
