I'm so pleased to have found this site and to discover that there are a fair number of others out there whe spend an inordinate amout of their "spar" time building models of their favorite indy cars. I've been building models for about ten years - both 1/43 and 1/24-5th scale and love the hoby immensely.
Thanks to those of you who have posted photos of your cars and for the wealth of information that you have posted - many of you are incredibly well informed! I hope to post photos of some of my models in the next few weeks and will share why I chose to build them. Friendly criticism and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike,
Welcome to the asylum. Be very careful around oldcalhoun.... he's a walking encyclopedia on many Indy car topics! There are really a bunch of great guys here who let me hang around!

Hi and welcome. So, you build '43rd also. I've got that afliction also along with 'normal' scale cars. Are you working on any '43ers now? Sandy

Welcome to the board. The first thing you'll notice is that everyone here is really open about sharing tips. I've learned more in the month that I've been here than all the years of building on my own. Second, if you ever need accuracy info and reference photos on a car, Indy (Jordan) is just about the best source you'll find. Good luck and let's see your cars.
