Let me start by telling you how I acquired my Entex 1/8 M23 and 72 D kits. Many years ago, during an unfortunate period of unemployment, my wife and I stopped at a local mall. As she shopped, I wandered into a KayBee toy store and saw a stack of probably 40 Entex 1/8 kits, about evenly divided between the 72D and M23. I knew of them but had never seen them in person before. They were on CLEARANCE for $25 each! We had no money to spend on kits so home we went. I fretted for several days and finally convinced my wife that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, so we scrounged the $50 and back I went to get them with my fingers crossed. They still had 15 or 20 of each. So that's how I got mine, does anyone else have either? I've always thought if I could have bought them all back then and sold them now on e-Bay, wow! Anyway, I'm thinking of clearing my bench of all projects, and starting on the M23. I've recently purchased an aftermarket set of decals and I also have some vinyl painting masks that someone sold on e-Bay, there are also some really nice detail parts available, like turned aluminum stacks, plug wire boots, etc. Plus my son works in a machine shop, so who knows what I could get done. Would there be any interest in a LONG-TERM (really long, probably) WIP on this one? If anyone else has one, maybe do simultaneous builds? I'll be waiting to see the level of interest!

I had the McLaren kit several years ago. I found in an attic of a house we changing the HVAC system. I ask the owner about the kit and it went home with me. The bad part I got strap for money and sold the kit. Out of all kits I have sold over years, I wish I had never sold that one. Buying one now the M23 or 72D would be out of the question.

What year was it that you wandered into the KB toys? Of course we would be interested in a WIP. I've never seen one.
What I would really be interested in would be a Delorean with a flux capacitor that requires a 2.4 gigawatt PS, so we could go back and get the rest of the Entex stack you saw there.

I'd love to see a WIP. I think one of those 1/8 M23 or 72D would be a blast to put together.

I think it was 1981 or 1982. I'm pretty sure they had already been discontinued for a while by then.
