Im kind of torn here, If I remeber correctly, The earlier Ferraris were more of a blood red as opposed to the current bright red. I just got the Fujimi F92A and I'm in love with this kit.
My question is - should I go with a deeper red like the TS-8 Italian red as opposed to the TS-49 Bright red? I want to stick with Tamiya paint. Any suggestions?

Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red would be a good choice. It was 1996 with the F310 that they switched to M@r1b0r0 inspired TS-49 Bright Red.

As far as I know TS-8 is the way to go. But on the other hand, Ferrari reds are aways a tough argument.

I saw an F92A in person a few years ago and yes the correct color is Italian Red TS-8.
Trevor, please allow me to correct you as you are off a year. The first Ferrari to use Bright Red TS-49 was the 1997 Ferrari F310B.

I stand corrected. That makes perfect sense as Tamiya issued the colour at the same time as the 310B kit.
