Looking at the pictures and photos in the Autocourse annuals I do not see significant variations in sponsors and graphics between the 1998 and 1999 Bryan Herta Shell cars. The only difference I found is the Miller Lite logo on the front nose. The Revell kit is for the 1998 car. Does anyone have a picture of the decal sheet that came with that kit that they could post ?

One thing that may be of interest would be differences between the car as it ran in Canadian races vs. U.S.(other). Shell Canada was a sponsor for the Cdn races and the Shell emblem would have been different and there were other Shell sponsorship differences related to country specific marketing initiatives. If this of interest let me know.

Between Herta's 98 win at Laguna and his 99 Laguna win, the Shell pectin logo changed. I can be more specific if you want but to as someone who's the kid of a 30+ year Shell man, I noticed these things. In that same vein, while Speedline makes a beautiful sheet for Kenny Brack's 2000 Shell car, they use the '98 Shell logo and not the right one for the car but thankfully IndyCals uses the right one (WTG Michael).
Also, IIRC Miller Lite changed their logo mid-98 from the diamond background to the circular one.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head.
One other note is that the Revell doesn't include the Miller decals in the '98 Shell kit and skillfully photoshopped them off the box art pic, too. I believe the Ricambi Miller sheet has suitable logos for rounding out an accurate early '98 Shell car and the '99 Miller kit *might* have something usable logos to do late '98 and '99 Shell cars (but I'd have to doublecheck before swearing to that part).

Action Performance did the 1/18 scale diecast of the 1999 Team Rahal cars. UT Models only did the 1998 Miller car I want to make the 1998 Shell car and looking for suitable graphics to do the decals. Are the Revell kit decals accurate?
