I think maybe my top 5 favorite chassis from the CART era 1979-1999 were: Penske PC-22, Penske PC-18, Penske PC-10, March 85C & the Lola T88.

The good thing about the 83 and 84 Marches is they are pretty close to one or another. If I were to do one first I'd start with the 83, which later could easily be turned into an 84.
Also with the Wildcat could be modified into a 82 March. That 82 could be Modified into an 81.
As for the Penske cars they are to far apart to take one off of another.
But for the PC10 could very very easily turned into a PC11
The 1981 PC9b could be made into a 1980 PC9
I actually like the 1980 Penske Paint schemes better than there 1981 schemes.

Calvin, that's why I voted for the 81 Penske. Then I could turn it into a 1980 ESSEX Mario. IMO bar none the prettest Indycar ever.
Lance has a 81 Penske prototype I saw about 4 years ago. (hint, hint, Lance) ;D

IMO bar none the prettest Indycar ever. ;D Yep it sure was a nice looking car, if you did one where would you get the ultra shiny chrome decal for the side pods? Also Mario only drove that car for half of the year. The second half was in the Brown AB DICK Pacemaker...he won at the Michigan 150 in that car. |
