Thanks Duane, I love cutaways. As a former graphic designer I can tell you that is some mad talent.

I've not seen that one! It's a Lotus Mk16 F1 ( the kind that Scott Stoddard practices in Grand Prix). Body designed by a chap named Costin who designed the Vanwall cars. Thanks.

Duane, It took some time but I finally have a need for this cutaway! A new HK toy! It needs some height so I added some Evergreen strips. The toy is split exactly where the real car should be... LOL! Another quick build! Thanks again for the cutaway! Patrick

Aw, this was going well... simplicity in construction was at the center of this model... this was a Heller front suspension from a Porsche... windscreen isn't quite right and paint a bit iffy... but then the rear decals...a very complex surface for the decals...too much for the solva-a-set I guess...ideas to save it? Usually when ever I run into this problem I usually don't panic that much as I usually clear coat my cars which usually saves the day. But I would hit it again with solve-a-set and then press down on it with a T-shirt and it usually does the trick....but usually I'm using Indycals and that usually is a walk in the park with usually almost zero decal drama.

Nice work Patrick! I can see that the Skalecraft kit is based on this toy. I have done the same tweaks to my remaster of the same kit. Are those decals from the Testors Ferrari 512S?

TA-DA! Close enough... I'm going to have to re-do this some day as I HATE wrinkled decals! However, until a better Lotus 16 comes along (hint!) I'll settle for this one... interesting camber, the fronts go out and the rears go in... I do hate the decals... O'all a nice toy conversion...oh, wrong color, too. Should be BP green for Pipe's car, right Trevor? Patrick PS: Thanks Racerbrown for the kick-off!

Very nice. From here I can't see the wrinkles.
What is that red car in the background?

Very interesting conversion, Patrick. I like the work put into this one, the details are very impressive! I like how the sharing a pic of one car spurs on a build Jordan
